Igloo France Cellulose is committed to sustainable development and energy transition. Their bio-based carbon net-negative cellulose fiber insulation (CFI) is an environmentally friendly solution. For every ton of CFI used, it removes 1.04 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere and stores it long-term. This insulation is suitable for both new and renovated buildings.
Over the past 18 months, they have installed up to 31,400 tons of CFI, providing proper insulation for 39,000 homes. The CFI product keeps CO2 stored within buildings for at least 50 years. The production process of this insulation generates almost no waste and doesn't require any heat, making it eco-friendly.
Igloo France Cellulose sources its materials from well-managed forests. When trees grow, they naturally absorb CO2, capturing significant amounts within their fibers. After harvest, the leftover wood material is primarily used for paper manufacturing. By recycling 100% of this paper waste, the CO2 that was captured by the trees remains stored in buildings rather than being released back into the atmosphere.
